Terms of use
These terms apply to the Chosen Ayah app for iOS and Android and to this website. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
1. The app
Chosen Ayah is offered free of charge, for personal, non-commercial use. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use it on devices you own or control, in line with the rules of the App Store or Google Play you downloaded it from.
2. The Quran text and tafsir
The Quran text and typefaces in the app are those published by the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Quran, and the tafsir is al-Tafsir al-Muyassar. We take great care to present them faithfully. If you ever notice an error in a verse, its numbering, its tafsir or its recitation, please tell us atyahia.codes@gmail.com with the surah, verse and riwaya, and we will correct it as a priority.
3. Recitations
Recitations are streamed from public third-party servers and remain the work of their reciters and publishers. They are provided for personal listening.
4. Tips
Tips are entirely optional and unlock nothing — every feature is free for everyone. Tips are processed by Apple or Google, and refunds are handled under their policies.
5. Acceptable use
Please don’t misuse the app — for example by attempting to disrupt the services it relies on, reverse-engineer it for harmful purposes, or present altered Quran text as if it came from the app.
6. Third-party services
The app and this website rely on services run by others, described in ourprivacy policy. Their availability is outside our control, and their own terms apply to your use of them.
7. No warranty
The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. While we work to keep it accurate and reliable, we cannot promise that it will always be free of errors or interruptions — for example, that every reminder will arrive on time on every device.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the app or this website. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded.
9. Changes
We may update the app and these terms from time to time. When we change the terms, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
